SAFESCREEN® Polypodium can be used by people who are prone to pigmentary skin conditions like Melasma, Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation(PIH), and Photopigmentation. The melanocyte stabilizing action of Polypodium leaf extracts in this SAFESCREEN® helps in managing the pigmentary conditions in an effective way. Polypodium containing applications and oral Polypodium is recommended for those with conditions like vitiligo, and hence this sunscreen may be considered as safe for use, by those with vitiligo.

Apply 1 to 1.5 ml of the product on the face and neck. You may use the sun screen scoop for accurate measurement. For better durability, follow the dual-layer sunscreen rule: apply 1-1.5 ml of the product, then reapply after 15-20 minutes with another 1-1.5 ml.

SAFESCREEN® Polypodium is a moisturizing sunscreen, so you may not need an additional moisturizer because it is the best sunscreen in India for dry skin. In case your skin feels dry, apply a thin moisturiser like the OptiMIST WaterBody and allow it to settle for 5-10 minutes after which you can apply the sunscreen.

SAFESCREEN® Polypodium is water-resistant for up to 6 hours. So twice a day application spaced between 5 and 6 hours would be sufficient.

Double cleansing with a gentle cleanser or using a deep cleanser once would be sufficient to remove this sunscreen. Also, we recommend that you incorporate exfoliants like the Light Routine Easy or Milk Route Daily periodically to completely remove any product residue.

Yes, you can layer another SAFESCREEN or one more layer of your Polypodium Sunscreen. The second layer goes on 15-20 minutes after and over the first. If you wish to layer over with Besant sunscreen for a matte finish, use only a tiny quantity of the Besant sunscreen(just like how you would use a matte foundation).

Yes, if you have a combination to dry skin you can apply OptiMIST WaterBody first. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and then apply SAFESCREEN Polypodium. If you have oily, acne-prone skin you can skip using WaterBody™️ or consider using, even more, lighter moisturisers like the Sebamed Care Gel or Avène Thermal Water Spray.

SAFESCREEN® Polypodium is already fortified with antioxidant Polypodium, so an additional antioxidant serum may not be required. However, if you still wish to apply, you may apply a thin layer of White Pine® Mirror Glaze. Allow it dry for 10-15 minutes and then apply the sunscreen.

SAFESCREEN® Polypodium comes with Polypodium leucotomos leaf extracts which have been known to protect against the interactions of the screen-emitted blue light with the UV spectrum. So an additional serum to block blue light may not be required.

Light Routine®/Milk Route® are Chemical Exfoliants that are meant to be used in the evenings as they can make the skin photosensitive. So it is advisable to use SAFESCREEN® Polypodium during the day to avoid sunburn as well as sun tanning.

SAFESCREEN® Polypodium contains non-nano zinc oxide as its only mineral UV filter. As per US-FDA, Zinc Oxide is categorised under GRASE-I which ensures its safety profile. Also, SAFESCREEN® Polypodium is free from chemical UV filters and other endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Polypodium leaf extract in this sunscreen is widely used as an oral antioxidant which again proves it to be safe for topical use.
