Western anti aging is built around wrinkles. That model was developed on lighter skin in colder, drier climates, and it misses most of what melanin rich skin actually goes through. For skin of colour, aging shows up in four distinct domains. Pigmentation is the earliest and most visible. Skin texture shifts with pollution and humidity. Contour softens in the lower face. Hair thins, greys and changes texture on its own timeline. CHOSEN is built to address all four, because skin longevity depends on addressing all four.
This is the framework every CHOSEN product, tool and piece of guidance is built against. If something doesn't serve skin longevity across at least one of these four domains, we don't launch it.

Pigmentation
Age spots, uneven tone and melasma. The most visible early marker of aging in Indian skin, and the one most standard routines miss entirely.
Skin texture
Roughness, enlarged pores and loss of smoothness. Driven as much by pollution and humidity as by the passage of time.
Contour
Loss of definition and volume in the lower face. CHOSEN Sculpt is the first clinically validated topical contour protocol built for Indian women.
Hair aging
Thinning, greying and texture change. We treat hair aging as a domain in its own right, not an afterthought tacked onto skincare.
What is the exposome?
The exposome is the sum of everything your skin meets in a day. Your external environment: sun, pollution, hard water, climate. Your internal state: hormones, diet, stress. Your personal habits: products, screen time, sleep. These inputs work together to shape how your skin behaves, how well its barrier functions, and how it ages over time. Exposome science is the future of dermatology, and it is the lens through which CHOSEN formulates every product.
Why it matters for Indian skin?
Indian skin operates in one of the most demanding exposome environments on the planet. Heat, hard water, humidity, UV, pollution and stress all stack on top of one another, every single day of the year. That changes what ingredients need to do, and at what concentrations. CHOSEN was one of the first Indian brands to build entire formulations around the exposome model, because prevention is more effective than correction.

The CHOSEN Sculpt protocol is supported by a 12 week prospective study in Indian women, published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology in 2026. It is the first topical serum with published clinical data on submental fullness in Indian skin. Publication is how we measure whether a product earns its place in a long term care philosophy.

Every active in the CHOSEN range is selected for both short term efficacy and long term safety. One without the other is not longevity. When we chose bemotrizinol as our primary chemical UV filter, we chose it on the strength of its safety data, which remains the best of any filter in its class.
A national team of dermatologists and KOLs
CHOSEN is developed and refined by a team of practising dermatologists and key opinion leaders from across India. Every product is reviewed against clinical evidence before it launches. If the data isn't strong enough, the product doesn't ship.

The Founder
Two decades of listening to what skin is really saying.
Dr. Renita Rajan is one of India's most trusted cosmetic dermatologists, author of Sunscreens for Skin of Colour, and a key opinion leader in laser technologies. She has spent over two decades in clinical practice, treating the specific ways Indian skin ages — the pigmentation, the barrier dysfunction, and the long term damage from unsupervised actives and topical steroids.
CHOSEN grew out of her cosmetic dermatology practice at RENDER. There, she began formulating exclusive protocols for her clientele - products built around the specific gaps she was seeing in her consulting room, using ingredients she could stand behind on long term use. Those in clinic formulations, refined over years of patient results, became the foundation of CHOSEN in 2020. What started as products for her own patients became products for every person who needed them.
Her vision for CHOSEN is simple. Close the gap between clinic grade science and everyday skincare, with complete respect for skin of colour, Indian climates and long term safety. Every decision at CHOSEN traces back to that vision - the ingredients we choose, the studies we commission, the tools we build for skin literacy.
