Selsun S Shampoo is an over the counter(OTC) dermatologist recommended antidandruff shampoo, widely used in India for greasy, adherent flakes and scales on the scalp.

This shampoo is based on two key ingredients-Selenium disulphide and Salicylic acid. Selenium disulphide reduces itching and works on the fungal component of dandruff by controlling the overgrowth of Malassezia, the fungus that aggravates dandruff. Salicylic acid exfoliates accumulated flakes on the scalp. Together, they work synergistically to control dandruff in just a few weeks of use. This shampoo also has added conditioners which reduce scalp drying and hair frizziness.

Selsun S Shampoo is suitable for those suffering from oily, adherent dandruff with thick and greasy scales which don’t go off easily with a regular shampoo.

• Wet your scalp and apply a sufficient amount of Selsun S shampoo to produce enough lather.
• Soak for 3 to 5 minutes and wash thoroughly with your regular shampoo.
• Use this shampoo twice to thrice a week for 6 to 8 weeks. Once the dandruff is controlled, reduce the frequency of usage to once per week for maintenance.

Selsun S shampoo is not recommended for everyday use since it has an exfoliating action. If you are someone who would like to shampoo wash everyday, then use Selsun S and a mild regular shampoo on alternate days.
